Missions

To the ends of the earth...

Valley is a church family dedicated to   Knowing Jesus and Making Him Known.

How we do this in the context of our Missions Team is based on the following verse from Acts 1:8 …

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Based on this verse, we understand that it is by God’s power that we serve Him, and we are compelled to reach others in the world in this geographic way…

Jerusalem for us is the Valley Family. We support short-term missions, assist with benevolence and encourage our members to enter into a life of service.

Judea is our local community.  We partner with the City of Chino and are involved in local ministries benefiting those around us.

Samaria is a culture unlike our own but relatively close by. For example, Valley has an extensive ministry in several communities and efforts in Baja, Mexico.

The Ends of the Earth is our global emphasis.  Our efforts are bringing others to Christ around the world.

Current Mission Partners:

Eric & Chris Barry – Team Expansion – After a long mission in urban ministry in Caracas, Venezuela,  planting churches among indigenous peoples, the Barry’s currently serve at the US headquarters training others to go into the mission field. We praise God for our continued 20+ year partnership with them on a monthly basis.

El Faro Children’s Home in Guadalupe Valley, Baja, Mexico, rescues homeless children, some with special needs. Valley provides supplies, food, Christmas outreach and construction help on a periodic basis.

The Way Ministries in the El Rio area of Tijuana, where Pastor Mario Gonzalez works in urban ministry through church planting, providing drug rehabilitation and food distribution. Valley assists as needed and supports this outreach monthly.

Community Transformers— in the Mathare slums of Nairobi consisting of young adults provides health care, food and most importantly  spiritual guidance to HIV/AIDS patients and orphans that live secluded and shunned from the rest of society.  We are proud to support them monthly.

HEART— Health Education Africa Resource Team— is dedicated to empowering Kenyans, through education and resources, to create a healthy, disease free life for themselves and their communities. Valley partners with HEART on a periodic basis.

Chino Neighborhood House—A community organization assisting needy families in our local school district with food, clothing, and household items.  Valley assists with food drives and donations of clothing and provides periodic support.

AWANA—Supporting the Isaacs and Hydanus families, who assist local churches and parents with the mission of AWANA: to raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ for a lifetime.  We support them with periodic gifts.

Valley Benevolence—our own internal ministry to help those in need from our own family, helping out those with special needs as directed by the Elders and Pastors.

Valley’s Missionary Team—with blessings from the Elders and staff, our own family going out on short mission trips. This area of missions has sent individuals and teams to Hungary, Croatia, Greece, North Africa, Chile, Mexico, China and Kenya.
